Our Charity Work
We're the largest group of garden centres in the UK, and since we've began, we've always looked for ways to give back to local communities.
We've worked very closely with national charities too. Our ‘Gardens for Good’ programme has helped raise money for our National Charity Partner, Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Wyevale Garden Centres staff and customers have raised over £350,000 during the first year of our partnership. The money has been raised through in centre activities such as the Great Daffodil Appeal, Blooming Great Tea Party and Christmas In Memory trees. We have also sold fresh cut daffodils, sunflowers, gardening gloves and many more products with 10% going to Marie Curie. The fundraising so far will enable Marie Curie to provide 17,500 hours of care and emotional support to people living with a terminal illness and their families.
Our local garden centres offer their support to small charities that have special relationships with them. They also work with local schools and help other worthy causes, such as taking part in Macmillan Cancer Care's ‘World's Biggest Coffee Morning’ every year.
