Located just off the A644 at Northowran, Coley Garden Centre lies between Bradford and Halifax surrounded by the spectacular scenery of Yorkshire's West Riding. It began life courtesy of Jeremy and Jo Waite, who started the business at Cinder Hill Farm in 1981. Selling mainly seedling and bedding plants grown on site, it soon established a reputation for quality and over the years grew into a successful garden centre operating with a wholesale and specialist plant business in tandem.
The reputation for top quality plants at affordable prices endures to this day and the centre's horticultural standards remain impeccable. It is run by loyal, friendly and helpful staff who between them have nearly 80 years' experience in the garden centre industry (the manager has been at the centre for 23 years!) and who like nothing better than to share their knowledge and dispense good practical advice in all aspects of garden care.
Although gardening products remain at the heart of the business, these are complemented by a great range of garden furniture, wild bird care products, giftware and cards. Christmas is a highlight here, with displays that create a wonderfully festive atmosphere to cheer customers in the chilly winter months.
