Garden Centre Manager

Gardening cricketers, or even cricketing gardeners, will be delighted to learn of the historic links between the north east 'Nursery End' at Lord's Cricket Ground and Windlesham Garden Centre. The original nursery in Marylebone began life growing soft fruit trees and was bought by the Russell family during the Great War. They sold it and bought the Windlesham site in the 1950s, setting up a retail garden centre that was, at the time, a pioneering concept in the horticultural world. Since then it has grown beyond recognition; the large glass house was opened by Percy Thrower in 1978 and it is now frequented by many a famous golfer due to its proximity to Sunningdale and Wentworth!

We sell top quality growing stock, gardening products and garden furniture as well as birdcare products, floristry, houseplants and books. We also have a fabulous giftware and greeting card department and at Christmas, an inspiring display of decorations, lights and trees. Our staff are a close-knit team of friendly and helpful horticultural experts who like nothing more than giving good practical advice to expert and amateur gardeners alike.

We all look forward to welcoming you to the centre soon.
