Garden Centre Manager
Situated on the B573 Great Doddington road, on the outskirts of Wellingborough, the garden centre site was originally used as allotment gardens for the local villagers. The site itself has undergone many transformations since then, but first became Mill Ridge Garden Centre in the 1980s, before eventually being bought by Kennedys. They extensively renovated the garden centre and it was reopened by David Bellamy in 1988. Ten years later Kennedys was bought by Wyevale Garden Centres and in 2007 became Country Gardens.
Since becoming part of Wyevale Garden Centres in 2011 the outside plantarea has undergone further redevelopment and now has a large specialist alpine centre and fresh new layout. The Plant Team are always happy to help with all queries, with each member having an area of specialist horticultural knowledge and experience. We pride ourselves on our plant quality, range and customer service.
While remaining plant focussed garden centre, along with gardening sundries the shop also offers a good range of garden furniture and barbecues, wild bird care products, a great range of giftware, books and cards along with two concessions, Maidenhead Aquatics (new for 2012) and Connies Café, serving hot meals, snacks and a delicious range of homemade cakes.
