Do you have to do anything if your daffodil bulbs break through early? Mine have before Christmas. Will they be alright?


You have nothing to fear. It is quite normal in mild winters for daffodils to get going early and show above ground. The minute the cold weather arrives they will stop growing and go back to sleep. They won’t suffer any damage (they are frost-proof), and will simply start growing again once the weather warms up. If we don’t have any cold weather they will just flower early.
