Do I need to feed my bulbs?

Feeding your bulbs won't do them any harm whatever type of bulb and is highly recommended if your soil is poor or you are planting varieties that will naturalise (multiplying in number and flowering year after year). When you plant, kick-start the root development and growth with a generous handful of blood, fish and bone, lightly turning into the topsoil or lawn surface. Help your naturalising bulbs once they have finished flowering by scattering more blood, fish, and bone or granular balanced fertiliser around your bulbs.
