My parsnips have been growing well but almost without warning their leaves look as if they have some form of blight. The leaf stalks are green but the leaf material is brown and papery, what could be causing this?

You would need to refer to the roots, if they are brown, it is likely to be Pseudomonas bacterium that is affecting the plant. The first symptoms would have been silver spots that would then enlarge into brown leaves.
