Lychnis coronaria the Rose campion or Dusty miller, is a grey-leaved perennial with a long succession of bright magenta-pink flowers on stiff, slender, silvery-woolly stems in summer. Height and spread 80cm by 45cm. Tends to be short- lived, but self-seeds freely. Associates well with Cistus, lavenders, sages and other silver and grey-leaved plants, thriving in any well-drained soil, including poor, dry soils, in sun.
