Thuja plicata 'Gelderland' is a fast-growing conifer with dense, aromatic, dark green foliage, tinged bronze in winter. Makes a fine specimen on its own, but is especially valuable as a medium to tall hedging plant plant or tall screening plant. Grows approximately 60cm.a year. If growing as a hedge, plant 45cm.apart. Trim in June-July. Stands trimming better than Leylandii. Thrives in moist but well-drained fertile soil, in sun.
