Spiraea japonica 'Firelight' is a fabulously colourful little shrub bearing bright flame-coloured new foliage that gradually fades to gold in summer before turning deep red in autumn. Flat flowerheads of small deep rosy-pink flowers appear in July and August.
Dwarf hardy deciduous shrub. Plant in moist but well-drained fertile soil in full sun. Prune hard in late winter to keep compact and promote larger leaves.
Bee and butterfly friendly.
