Cornus sericea 'Flaviramea' (Dogwood) is a vigorous shrub grown primarily for its bright yellowish-green winter stems creating Most effective in groups in large areas, creating a colourful contrast with red, orange and black-stemmed dogwoods and willows. Excellent for colonising damp areas. Height and spread up to 2m by 4m.
Thrives in any moist to damp, boggy soil, in full sun for the best winter stem colour. Leave for two seasons after planting, then cut hard back either every year in late March or every other year to maintain the brightest stem colour.
