Hypericum, St.John's wort - 3 litres
Hypericum 'Hidcote' is justifiably one of the most popular shrubs in British gardens. Masses of large glowing golden-yellow flowers on a neat, dense bush create a terrific impact through the second half of summer and into autumn, brightening mixed and herbaceous borders and loved by bees. Lovely with dark blue monkshoods.
Height and spread 90-180cm by 1.2-1.5m (3-6ft x 4-5ft). Can be kept compact and free-flowering by pruning hard back like a Buddleia in March, but will still perform well if left unpruned to make a larger bush. Thrives in ordinary well-drained garden soil, in sun or light shade.
This plant has an RHS Award of Garden Merit.
Bee and butterfly friendly.
