Hibiscus syriacus 'Marina' produces large lavender flowers with red centres, which open from late summer into autumn. Initially upright, broadening with age, grows up to 3m.high by 2m. Plant in moist but well-drained soil, in a sunny, sheltered site. In cold areas mulch roots in autumn. All Hibiscus come into leaf late in spring.
