Cotoneaster - 3 litres
Cotoneaster 'Rothschildianus' is a large, arching evergreen shrub or small tree, with slender mid-green leaves and large heads of cream-white flowers in early summer, followed by clusters of long lasting pale yellow berries which positively shine on autumn and winter days. The flowers are loved by bees and the berries provide food for birds in winter. Makes a fine specimen for a lawn or the back of a large border and an excellent screening plant.
Grows 3-4m (10-13ft) high and wide in 10 years, eventually up to 5m (16.5ft). Thrives in any ordinary well-drained soil in sun or partial shade, sheltered from cold drying winds.
This plant has an RHS Award of Garden Merit.
Bee and butterfly friendly.
