Cotoneaster atropurpureus 'Variegatus' is an attractive and useful dense, low-growing, spreading shrub. Small, neat cream-edged greyish-green leaves assume a pink tinge in autumn. Good for banks or at the front of a mixed border and excellent for ground cover in dry shade.
Prostrate hardy deciduous shrub. Plant in any soil in sun or shade. Tolerates poor dry conditions, but not outright bogs.
