Trachelospermum jasminoides, the Star Jasmine, is a self-clinging, evergreen climber with glossy dark green leaves which turn dark red in winter and very fragrant white flowers, fading to cream, in July and August. Grows slowly up to 9m high by 7m.
Plant in well-drained, fertile soil, in sun or partial shade, by a sheltered warm wall. Also suitable for a cool conservatory. No regular pruning is required except to restrict its size if required, which should be carried out in spring.
This plant has an RHS Award of Garden Merit.
