Pittosporum tenuifolium 'Golf Ball'PBR
Pittosporum - 3 litres
Pittosporum tenuifolium 'Golf Ball' is a delightful and unusual small evergreen naturally forming a dense rounded mound of small, neat sea-green leaves. Small honey-scented dark purple flowers add interest in spring-early summer. Grows around 1.2m high and wide in 5 years. Trim lightly after flowering to maintain shape and compactness. A striking architectural plant for a shrub or mixed border or formal planting scheme, creating a similar effect to ball-trained box in far less time. Would contrast well with purple-leaved Pittosporum 'Tom Thumb'. Thrives in moist but well-drained soil in sun or part shade, sheltered from cold, drying winds. Ideal for mild coastal gardens.
