Lonicera nitida 'Baggesen's Gold'
Shrubby Honeysuckle - 2 litres
Lonicera nitida 'Baggesen's Gold' is a shrubby honeysuckle which doesn't remotely resemble one of the familiar climbing ones. It is a very useful and adaptable evergreen shrub with tiny golden leaves, providing colour throughout the year in the garden and good cut foliage for small vases. Unpruned it makes a dense, bushy, medium-sized shrub, growing around 1.5m (5ft) high and wide in 10 years, ideal in a shrub or mixed border. It responds well to trimming and can be kept small, formally trained or grown as a neat, low hedge.
Easy to grow in any well-drained soil, with best colour in sun, sheltered from cold winds. Can be trimmed any time from May to September.
