Buxus sempervirens Box
Box - 3 litres
Buxus sempervirens (Box), is the classic British native evergreen that has formed the backbone of formal planting schemes for centuries. It is ideal for low hedging, boundaries or divisions in formal gardens in both modern and traditional settings. Excellent for growing in containers, as topiary and for training as feature plants. Height and spread up to 5m or more, but usually kept much smaller by trimming once or twice a year.
For a hedge, plant 38cm (15in) apart in any well-drained soil in sun or shade. Likes lime, but grows successfully on acid and neutral soils provided they are well-drained. Trim between June and September.
This plant has an RHS Award of Garden Merit.
