Ilex aquifolium 'Chris Whittle' (holly) is a rare and recent addition to the holly scene, bearing dark green spiny leaves and orange berries. Slow-growing, it can be kept compact indefinitely by trimming.
Medium-sized to large hardy evergreen shrub. Plant in any well-drained fertile soil in a sunny or partially-shaded reasonably sheltered position. Prune in July or August to keep compact and shapely.
