Pittosporum tenuifolium 'French Lace' is an unusual variety with tiny olive-green leaves turning gold-bronze in winter, on slender black stems. Good for flower arranging. Bears small scented black-red flowers in late spring and early summer. Grows up to 1.5m by 1m.in 10 years. May be trimmed as required, in summer. Plant in moist but well-drained fertile soil, in a sunny spot, sheltered from cold winds. In cold areas best against a warm wall or in a cool conservatory over winter. Good for coastal areas.
