Euonymus fortunei 'Harlequin'
Variegated spindle - 3 litres
Euonymus fortunei 'Harlequin' is a pretty little evergreen with striking white new foliage, sometimes tinged pink, maturing to green speckled white. With a low, spreading habit it makes attractive year round groundcover among larger shrubs, edging a path or at the front of a shrub or mixed border; and makes an effective container plant on its own or with other plants.
Height and spread up to 60cm by 90cm (2ft x 3ft). It thrives in any moist but well-drained fertile soil, in light, dappled shade, avoiding full sun, which might scorch the young growth, with shelter from cold drying winds.
If growing in a container, use a good multi-purpose compost or John Innes No 3 potting compost and provide protection from severe cold in winter.
