Abelia 'Lady Liberty'
Abelia 'Lady Liberty' is an outstanding new, hardy, compact evergreen shrub with small, neat deep green leaves with a slim golden edge, turning pink in cold weather and profuse scented white flowers opening from pink buds in late summer. Pretty pink calyces (like tiny leaves behind the flowers) remain long after the flowers have fallen. Attractive to butterflies. Height and spread around 1m. Trim over lightly in spring. Thrives in most well-drained fertile soils, in a sunny site, sheltered from cold wind. Also suitable for growing in a container.
