Lavandula angustifolia 'Munstead' (lavender) is a classic compact variety bearing fragrant mid-blue flowers over aromatic green leaves that silver as they age. Similar in habit to Hidcote and can be grown as a low hedge. Highly attractive to butterflies and bees and excellent for cutting and drying.
Dwarf hardy evergreen shrub. Plant in any reasonable well-drained soil in a sunny position sheltered from cold winds. Hates cold wet soil. Trim lightly after flowering in late summer.
This plant has an RHS Award of Garden Merit.
Bee and butterfly friendly.
