Lavandula angustifolia 'Pacific Blue' (English lavender) is a recently introduced variety of English lavender particularly notable for its mass of vibrant rich purple-violet flower spikes borne in summer over a compact mound of slender aromatic greyish-green foliage. Highly attractive to butterflies and bees and excellent for cutting and drying.
Dwarf hardy evergreen shrub. Plant in any reasonable well-drained soil in a sunny position sheltered from cold winds. Hates cold wet soil. Trim lightly after flowering in late summer.
