Cotoneaster procumbens 'Queen of Carpets'
Cotoneaster - 3 litres
Cotoneaster x procumbens 'Queen of Carpets' is a tough, vigorous, ground hugging evergreen forming a dense spreading carpet of stems clad with glossy, dark green leaves. Prolific small white flowers in early summer are followed by abundant red berries. The flowers are loved by bees and birds enjoy the berries in autumn and winter. Superb low maintenance, weed-suppressing groundcover in shrub borders and under trees; and helps to stabilise steep banks. Does a good job in less than ideal conditions.
Height and spread 15cm by 2m (6in x 6ft). Thrives in any ordinary well-drained soil in sun or partial shade. Tolerant of poor, dry soils once established.
