Cordyline australis 'Torbay Dazzler' (cabbage palm) is a handsome architectural plant forming an upright clump of long, sword-shaped, green and white striped leaves tinged salmon pink. Ideal for creating a sub-tropical effect in containers or giving height and interest to borders as a 'dot plant'.

Small to medium-sized frost hardy evergreen. Plant in well drained fertile soil in a sunny or partially-shaded position sheltered from cold winds. Less hardy than the plain green-leaved species; in all but the mildest areas best grown in a container and overwintered in a cool conservatory or greenhouse. If grown outside as a 'dot plant', before frosty weather begins, wrap the leaves with several layers of sacking and cover with a plastic bag to keep the leaves dry; or lift in October and overwinter somewhere frost-free.
