|Useful/additional information||Sow 3mm (1/8in) deep in spring at 21-24C (70-75F) in a good seed compost. Germination takes 5-10 days. Seed can also be sown outdoors in mid spring where it is to flower once the soil has warmed up. When large enough to handle transplant the seedlings to boxes or 7.5cm (3in) pots, and grow on in cooler conditions. When about 5cm (2in) tall pinch out the growing point to make them bushy. Later, gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions before planting out. When growing Cosmos plants, water regularly until they are fully established. Deadhead faded Cosmos flowers regularly to encourage more blooms to be produced throughout the summer.|
