|Useful/additional information||Soak the seeds in cold water for two hours before sowing speed germination. Sow to late winter to early spring 6mm (¼in) deep in a good, free draining, seed compost. Make sure the compost is moist but not wet and seal in a polythene bag until after germination which usually takes 1-21 days at 13-18C (55-65F). Any seeds that don't germinate after this period can be dug up lightly filed to make a small scratch on the seed coat and replanted. Transplant when large enough to handle into 7.5cm (3in) pots. Grow on in a coldframe or sheltered spot and plant out in autumn 45cm (18in) apart into fertile well drained soil in full sun. Plant out in full sun and in ordinary garden soil.|
