Coral Bells - 3 litres
Heuchera'Binoche' is a useful and attractive perennial forming a dense evergreen mound of heavily ruffled purple-black leaves with a maroon reverse, overtopped in late spring into summer by slender dark purple stems bearing clusters of tiny cream-white flowers, loved by bees and butterflies. Lovely with golden or lime-green-leaved Heucheras and Hostas and silvery Brunneras and Pulmonarias; also good in containers. Most effective planted in groups of three or more, making good ground cover.
Height and spread 40cm by 40cm (16in). Thrives in well-drained, fertile soil, in sun or partial shade. For growing in containers use good multi-purpose compost. Remove spent flower stems to promote continuous flowering. Divide and replant in late summer or early autumn every 3 or 4 years, using only younger, outer pieces. Mulch with leaf mould or compost in spring.
Bee and butterfly friendly.
