Alcea rosea Chater's Double Group yellow-flowered is a variety of the classic tall cottage garden plant, with gorgeous double yellow flowers opening from July to September. Lovely with hollyhocks in different shades, at the back of a border or along a wall. Height and spread 1.2-1.5m by 60cm in the first year after planting, 2-2.5m high in future years.
Thrives in rich, well-drained soil in a sunny site, sheltered from strong winds.
