Passiflora caerulea 'Constance Elliot' is a beautiful old variety of the Passion flower bearing fragrant white bowl-shaped flowers with blue or white filaments through summer and into autumn, against a background of dark green foliage, evergreen in mild locations. Orange fruits after hot summers are ornamental and edible, though without flavour. A vigorous climber to 10 m. Prune in spring if necessary. Plant in moist but well-drained soil, in sun or partial shade, sheltered from cold winds.
