Rudbeckia fulgida var. sullivantii 'Goldsturm' is one of the best known and loved of all late flowering perennials, bearing a long succession of golden-yellow daisy flowers with dark brown eyes from July or August to October. Makes a good cut flower. Popular with bees. Ideal for the front of a border with other late perennials and grasses. Height and spread 60cm by 45cm. Very hardy and easy, but dislikes drought. Thrives in moist but well-drained, humus-rich soil, in full sun. Divide every 4-5 years in spring to maintain vigour.
