Stokesia laevis 'Klaus Jellito', Stokes's Aster, is a selected variety of this attractive summer flowering perennial with extra-large blue cornflower-like daisy flowers from June to September, or longer if deadheaded regularly. Makes a good cut flower. Evergreen basal foliage. Ideal for the front of a border. Lovely with yellow Achilleas and Coreopsis. Height and spread 45cm.
Thrives in well-drained soil, sheltered from cold winds. Deadhead regularly to prolong flowering. Cover with a dry mulch in winter in cold areas.
British nursery grown.
