Cactus-flowered Dahlia - 7.5 litres
Dahlia 'My Love' produces large spiky double white flowers with yellow centres from June/July to the first hard frosts of autumn. Fabulous in a bed or border or large container and as a cut flower. Height 125cm. Plant tubers in mid-April 10cm deep and 50cm apart in rich, well-drained soil, in a sunny position. For earlier flowers, start them off in pots in the in a greenhouse or on a windowsill. Harden them off in May before planting them out after any danger of frost has passed. Deadhead to keep the flowers coming. Cover with a deep mulch in autumn, or in cold areas lift and store in a cool, frost-free place after frosts have blackened the foliage.
