Dahlia Mystic Dreamer
Dahlia - 3 litres
Dahlia Mystic Dreamer is a delightful new variety raised in New Zealand with dark purple-bronze foliage providing a contrasting background to pale pink single flowers striped darker pink, through summer to the first hard frosts of autumn. Perfect for pastel colour schemes in beds or borders. Height 70cm, planting distance 45cm.
Plant after any danger of frost has passed, in rich, well-drained soil, in a sunny position. Deadhead to keep the flowers coming. Mulch well before winter. In cold areas lift when the foliage has been blackened by frost and store the tuber in a cool, frost-free place. Plant out the following April or, for earlier flowers, start off in pots on a windowsill or in a greenhouse and plant out after hardening off in May or June.
