Gaura lindheimeri'Passionate Rainbow' is unique among Gauras in adding variegated foliage to its phenomenal floral display. The slender leaves are suffused purplish-pink when young, maturing to green edged white, providing a colourful background to the prolific blush pink flowers with carmine-pink centres opening from rose-red buds from July to October. Loved by bees and butterflies. It has a more compact, upright habit than most Gauras. Ideal for the front of sunny borders, combining well with Sedums, lavenders and blue and purple Salvias.

Height and spread 45-75cm by 30-45cm (18-30in x 12-18in). Thrives in well-drained, fertile soil in sun. Drought tolerant once established. Good drainage is essential for survival through winter. Cut old stems back in spring.

Bee and butterfly friendly.

British nursery grown.
