Cordyline australis 'Red Star'
Cabbage Palm - 9 litres
Cordyline australis 'Red Star' brings a touch of the exotic to any garden - evergreen with long graceful sword like leaves in a bright Reddish purple , all radiating from a single stem. Its striking architectural appearance make the perfect focal point for instant impact in beds, borders or containers. Huge panicles of tiny scented creamy-white flowers may open on mature specimens in summer. Plant in well drained fertile soil in a sunny or partially-shaded position sheltered from cold winds. Container-grown plants need winter protection. Those in the ground can be decimated by severe winters although they will often shoot again from the base.
