Campanula glomerata 'Superba' is a hardy and easy old cottage garden perennial with stout clusters of deep violet-purple flowers in June and July. Height and spread 60cm. Lovely with early roses and red peonies.
Thrives in ordinary garden soil in sun or light shade. Can be invasive, especially in rich soil.

Bee and butterfly friendly.
