Hyacinthus orientalis 'Delft Blue'
Hyacinthus orientalis 'Delft Blue' is an award-winning hyacinth that is hugely popular, due to its beautifully fragrant, porcelain-blue flowers. The stems will reach up to 30cm in height and look stunning when planted in groups for blocks of colour. The bulbs are wonderful additions to borders (where they can be left to flower perennially for many years), or planted in containers and spring bedding schemes. Plant the bulbs in autumn, at a depth of 10cm, in moderately fertile, well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade.
