Salix caprea 'Kilmarnock' (weeping pussy willow), also called Salix caprea 'Pendula', is an enduringly popular little weeping tree with attractive shiny reddish-brown stems and silvery catkins borne in February and March before greyish-green leaves appear. Supplied on 1.2m stem.
Small hardy deciduous tree. 2-3m after 10 years. Plant in fertile soil in an open sunny or partially shaded location. Tolerates damp conditions. Prune in spring to maintain a neat and tidy habit.
