Acer palmatum 'Ueno yama'
Acer palmatum 'Ueno yama' is one of the first Japanese maples to come into leaf in spring, producing bright orange, deeply cut leaves that darken to green in summer and then change again to shades of brilliant yellow and orange in autumn. A gorgeous and eyecatching specimen plant for a medium-sized garden. Reaches a maximum height and spread of 5m x 3m. Best in moist, well drained, slightly acidic soil in partial shade, with protection from cold, drying winds.
