Solanum tuberosum Anya 'Albert Bartlett'
Salad Potato 'Anya Albert Bartlett' - 2 kg
Solanum tuberosum Anya 'Albert Bartlett' are a wonderful purple variety of potatoes. It is an early variety which is easy to grow - a little like Pink Fir Apple without knobbles. It has excellent flavour and is ideal for boiling and salads.
Each 2kg sack contains roughly 20 - 28 tubers.
First earlies and second earlies perform well, producing better, healthy, less diseased crops if chitted before planting. Chitting encourages strong shoots, which speeds up the growth once in the ground. Place your seed spuds in an egg or seed tray in a cool, dry, frost-free location out of direct sunlight. The new shoots will appear from one end; this is the so called rose or stubs end. Orientate so the rose end is pointing upwards. When chunky chits reach approx. 25mm (1 inch), plant out in the ground or large container.
Plant outside from mid March onwards and harvest after 13 weeks.
