Solanum tuberosum 'Charlotte'
Salad Potato 'Charlotte' - 2 kg
Solanum tuberosum Charlotte are a classic salad potato, justifiability very popular with pear shaped, yellow skinned small spuds with a gorgeous flavour and a lovely waxy texture to excellent hot or cold in salads and roasting.
First earlies and second earlies perform better producing better, healthy less diseased crops if chitted before planting. Chitting encourages strong shoots which speeds up the growth once in the ground. Place your seed spuds in an egg or seed tray in a cool, dry, frost free location out of direct sunlight. The new shoots will appear from one end, this is the so called rose or stubs end, orientate so the rose end is pointing upwards. When Chunky chits reach approx. 25mm (1 inch) plant out in the ground or large container.
Each 2kg sack contains roughly 20 - 28 tubers.
Plant outside from Mid March onwards and harvest after 13 weeks.
