Maincrop Potato 'Pink Fir Apple' - 10 tubers
Solanum tuberosum Pink Fir Apple is a glorious heritage variety first grown in 1850 and now back in fashion. A maincrop versitile spud with long knobbly pinkish coloured smooth skinned tubers with a delicious mouth watering nutty flavour and a buttery waxy flesh. Ideal for salads, boiling and chipping.
Pack contains 10 tubers.
First earlies and second earlies perform better producing better, healthy less diseased crops if chitted before planting. Chitting encourages strong shoots which speeds up the growth once in the ground. Place your seed spuds in an egg or seed tray in a cool, dry, frost free location out of direct sunlight. The new shoots will appear from one end, this is the so called rose or stubs end, orientate so the rose end is pointing upwards. When Chunky chits reach approx. 25mm (1 inch) plant out in the ground or large container.
Plant outside from Mid March onwards and harvest after 13 weeks.
