Gooseberry 'Captivator' - 3 litres
Ribes uva-crispa (Gooseberry) 'Captivator' is an excellent, very hardy dessert variety with almost thornless stems reliably producing good crops of sweet, juicy red fruit red fruit, delicious for eating fresh from the bush by late July. Bred in Canada.
Height and spread 1.2- 1.5m (4-5ft). Plant in reasonably well-drained, fertile soil, rich in organic matter, in an open, sunny, lightly shaded spot, sheltered from wind and avoiding frost pockets. Prune annually in winter. Apply a slow release general fertiliser in spring.
British nursery grown.
