Rubus Tayberry Group
Tayberry Tayberry Group - 3 litres
Rubus Tayberry Group is a hybrid between a raspberry and a loganberry, producing richly aromatic long dark red berries which are sweeter than loganberries and good to eat fresh as well as stewed, in pies, summer puddings and jams. Ripen mid-July to August. Self-fertile. The thorny canes grow around 2m long.
5 canes, which are each 1.5m - 1.8m tall, are included in the pot.
Plant in well prepared, well-drained soil enriched with well-rotted manure or compost, in sun or light shade. Space plants at 2.5-3m intervals. Provide support on wires on a trellis, fence or arch, or on a post and wire structure. Cut old canes down to the ground after fruiting and tie in new canes for the next season's fruit. Mulch with well-rotted manure, spent hops or compost in spring.
