Brassica rapa (Chinensis Group) Pak Choi Red is a beautiful red-leaved variety that can be used in salads or stir fries as a baby leaf or used as a cooked vegetable when semi mature or as a fully grown head. Pick a few leaves at a time to 'cut and come again' over a long period, or allow to grow to full size and harvest whole plant. Suitable for summer crops outside and for autumn and winter crops in tunnels or greenhouses.
Plant 15-20cm apart in well-drained, humus-rich soil, in sun or partial shade. Protect from slugs. Water well in dry weather. Always water in the morning up to midday. Watering late in the day increases the risk of rotting.
Plant outdoors from March to September and harvest from June to November.
