Stephanotis (Madagascar Jasmine)-x
It is hard to beat the beautiful fragrance of stephanotis. These beautiful waxy white star shaped blooms are highlighted by its dark glossy green leaves.
It is best grown in a light room away from direct sun in the summer, the stems look best when grown over a small piece of trellis or on a hoop. Misting the foliage occasionally (but do not spray the flowers) helps to keep the foliage in peak condition.
Feed monthly with baby bio and keep the compost moist at all times but not waterlogged, especially over the winter months. Avoid changing its position as it dislikes sudden changes in temperature.
They can occasionally be troubled by mealy bug, but this is easily treated with an application of 'Provado'. They look fantastic in a matching pure white pot on a light windowsill.
